Grow trees in the vineyards and stop monoculture
Inspired by Ernst Götsch, the pioneer of syntropical farming, we will integrate agroforestry systems into our vineyards. By the end of 2024 we are starting to plant thousands of trees and bushes directly in between the wines. This will revitalize the ecosystem. Trees generate shadow, pump water from deeper layers, protect the soil against erosion and store CO2 in the soils. The project is consulted and supported by Triebwerk. Every vote for this project will bring more trees to the vineyards.

Create diversity and integrate sheep to viticulture
A herd of Ouessant sheep is grazing in our vineyards. They create biodiversity and revitalize the terroirs. Microbes and insects come back as well as birds. Less heavy machines are needed. Less energy is wasted. The soils will be less compressed, more alive and can breathe. Every investment in this project will guarantee more care and smarter systems to work with sheep. We need new smart fencing systems, mobile sheep homes and cameras to track their activities.

Share knowledge and develop space for cooperation
Our innovative education program attracts young people all over the world to come to Nierstein, either for an internship or an apprenticeship.Our mission is to share and spread knowledge about regenerative farming and sustainable entrepreneurship with as many people as possible. We aim to further develop our team, but also to offer seminars and workshops to externals, being interested in learning and sharing knowledge with us. Every vote for this project will be directly invested in the future of human development at our winery. We will invest in the set up and organization of trainings and workshops (both internal and external). We will offer systemic coaching sessions to our trainees and we will optimize our digital infrastructure for HR, such as integrating a project management app into our daily work at the winery.
